Paper Flowers

The oldest and I had a lot of fun creating paper flowers for Grandma last week. We drew shapes of petals on paper (triangles for lilies, ovals for daisies, and scallops for roses), cut them out, and poked a wire through the petals to fasten to a button on the front. We covered the wire with rolled green paper and hot glued anything that was loose. Since we were having to mail Grandma's package (before she goes into the hospital for knee replacements this week), we needed flowers that didn't need water, and these fit the bill. Next time I'd like to try a bouquet of roses, but we were pretty pleased with our cheerful flowers!
