Dress Design

You may remember that I have become somewhat fashion crazy as of late. What with Shabby Apple and the desire for cowboy boots, I'm just a fanatic! (ha!)
Anyway, when Shabby Apple posted that they would be hosting a dress design contest, it got my brain going. I've been arguing with myself for weeks on whether or not to even try to draw this dress out and link up, but today I decided, "Why not?!" So here is the (extremely rough) sketch of my dress design for Shabby Apple dresses:
For the inspired Princess in us all, this dress takes its cue from both Cinderella’s work dress and ball gown and is called simply
Ella has very simple and classic lines—the kind of dress that can be worn both to run errands or to a dinner date.
The color is two-toned—a slightly darker teal blue for the bodice and cuffs of the sleeves, a lighter blue for the sleeves and skirt. I suggest the fabric be a polyester that is light, drapes well, and does not wrinkle.
The skirt is full and meant to swing.

  1. I didn't see anything about this contest - but how much fun would it be if they went with yours? I think it's made a very pretty dress! Good Job!

  2. Very cute! I like the square neck.

  3. I LOVE that you are embracing your inner FASHIONISTA!!!
    Woo HOOO
