Easter

In the past, I have generally celebrated Easter only on Easter weekend. I love the Lent celebrations, but I've never led our family in anything. I really feel that Easter should be more celebrated than Christmas! And yet I continue to let things come right down to Easter weekend.
So here is my public proclamation: the Holy Spirit is telling me to celebrate more this year. Now if I don't, you all can call me on it!
Here are some of the GREAT ideas I've seen around the internet for celebrating in the weeks leading up to Easter Sunday.
Ann Voskamp's Easter Tree is beyond words. This is on my "Someday List." I think my kids will get more out of it if I wait a few years.
More of Ann Voskamp's ideas can be found here and here. She has some great ones, my favorite one being a beautiful mini garden to symbolize waiting and praying with Jesus in the garden. Wow! Another favorite is a link to this website where you can make beautiful butterflies to lead to talk about new life.
There is a great list at Mom Sense of hymns and subjects to learn about during the Easter season.
Another great list of Easter activities is over at Centsable Momma.
Okay, this is definitely one I'm going to try this year. This website has an easy way to make your own Resurrection Eggs.
And another one I'm going to do is make Resurrection Buns. There are two ways to make these here and here.

I would love to know how everyone else is going to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Savior! Happy Easter!

(Edited to Link to Frugal Easter Extravaganza over at Keeping the Kingdom First and Works for me Wednesday at We Are That Family)
