Blog Giveaway-Closed

In the long awaited, first ever Of Such is the Kingdom Blog Giveaway, I am very excited to be able to offer the 3 CD set of Songs for Saplings "Questions With Answers!" (As mentioned before in this blog.) Each song takes one or more of the Children's Westminster Shorter Catechism questions and sets it beautifully to music--music that both children and adults can enjoy, I might add. These songs are constantly playing in our van now, and it is wonderful (truly wonderful!) to hear my kids beginning to sing along. This 3 CD set is normally $30, but because of a 25% Christmas discount, they are now only $21! You can listen to whole songs from the CDs at their site, so hop on over and order a few sets for Christmas presents!

I'll be letting random.org choose a winner, so the more times you comment, the greater chance you have to win. Here are the requirements for comments:

1. First, you must follow my blog. Become a follower, and leave a comment telling me that you are.
2. Visit Songs for Saplings and listen to a song. Leave a separate comment telling me that you've done this. And no, I can't check to see if you did, but you'll be glad you did, I promise! The songs are catchy and you'll love 'em!
3. Leave a separate comment telling me your kids' favorite music these days and/or your kids' favorite way to learn scripture. I'll be glad for the recommendations and advice!

This Giveaway will close on Wednesday, December 9th at 7:59PM EST.

Merry Christmas and Happy Giveaways!
(Stay tuned for next Monday's giveaway. Check out what I'll be giving away here.)

  1. I'm a follower!! I've heard of these, and been tempted to get them many times, but never took the plunge. We're still learning the catechism in that boring, old fashioned way!

Also - for scripture memory work, we've been going through "Fighter Verses," (which appeals to my little boy's inner knight). You can find them on the Desiring God website I think. We're using these as a family and always have one verse out that we're working on at mealtimes, etc.

  2. Scripture -- Wise Words for Moms -- a calendar like chart that lines up behavior with Scripture that rebukes and trains. (2 different verses). LOOOVE it, so easy to reference. Also, just picking out "key" verses that we say over and over all through the day, (like John 3:16). And music like Steve Green, those songs get stuck in our heads. I should've entered each idea on different posts. Oh well!

  5. Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! Pick me!
Listened to one song and it was great.
Right now, we are listening to John Denver and the Muppets Christmas Album... I was raised on it. Actually many references to Christ, however mixed in with plenty of encouragement to hug your nearest tree.

  8. Our favorite scripture music is Seeds Family Worship. Their albums are based on topic (courage, faith, encouragement, etc). My two year old LOVES them and asks me to play them every time we get in the car!

  12. Mostly my kids learn songs either from preschool or my hubby. We have two different children's bibles and they love them (fight over them really!) and we read them every night, although we sometimes have to step in because my son only wants to read Noah, Jonah, and the creation story!
